In case you missed it, outerwear company Weatherproof has put up a billboard in Times Square with an AP image of President Obama wearing one of their coats. I expect it will be down soon, but I was interested in this quote from a company rep in the

Just saw your nicely done story in the May/June 2010 issue of AMERICAN PHOTO Magazine.
In it – you mentioned the Charles Dharapak, AP photo was from a 1.3mb JPEG file – could you please elaborate (camera, etc)?

Thanks TJ – much appreciated. Here are some more details from Charlie about the shoot:
“I edited my take and transmitted 18 images from the back of a bus as we headed from the Great Wall directly to the Beijing Airport (we were immediately traveling to South Korea). The image that was used on the billboard happened to be the first one that I transmitted ? I shot it with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II using a 24-70mm L lens.”
