Photo Consultants are good for the business?
I LOVE photo consultants! OK, a little bit of sarcasm there. I have used photo consultants on occasion, and they are always very positive and upbeat people. And why wouldn’t they be??? If a Photo consultant said to you: “The Photo business is in the shitter right now, and I haven’t had many success stories lately.” Would you hire them? NO! But Photo Consultants are paid to convince you to spend you own money on promotion and marketing, and then pay them. Wow! Excellent! But what about a rate of return on your investment? If I told you to spend $50,000. on mailers and phone calls and marketing, how much of that would you want to make back? Would you guarantee me a REFUND if it didn’t work? How do you quantify success and return on your 50K?
