Our 3yo Prefers Jacob Riis to Berenice Abbott
Today I took our 3.5 year old son Oliver to the Museum of the City of New York (Greg is back in Savannah, but we’re staying on a week longer.) After viewing the toy collection, we spent a few moments in New York Through the Lens: Photographs From the Permanent Collection, which is on display through May 9th.

I mostly agree with Oliver. Though I have spent a good deal of time enjoying Bernice Abbot. Blow kisses to the highest I-beams for me and have a wonderful visit!

Michelle, just wanted to thank you for sharing your experience. I’m stuck out here in LA and it kills me I have so few opportunities to return to NY to enjoy the museum. But thanks to your blog, at least I get a taste. Oliver’s reaction is so interesting and it’s splendid that you opened up his world especially at his young age when kids just soak it all in. Anyway thanks again……..
